Reports To: Sr. Director of Construction and Development

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience is required
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% of time including ability to do weekly travel
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat. CAD experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) 
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Must be based in Dallas
Compensation: $95,000-$110,000

Overview:
As a member of the Crunch’s Construction and Development group, your primary role will be to oversee the development of new locations and remodel upgrades for early generation franchise conversions. You will be expected to promote and maintain high quality control and have a thorough understanding of the company brand standards and be responsible for delivering that vision across all clubs. 

This position will involve frequent travel to both new sites and existing clubs. Also, the role will require remote office work on the road and at home. Expectations are to be able to work on multiple projects at any given time and be able to provide project status on a moment’s notice. 

This role will include but will not be limited to:

Franchise Club Construction (new and conversion clubs)

  • Construction project management
  • Manage end to end construction timelines, program forecasting and scheduling
    • Plan travel/site visits based on project schedules
    • Review Weekly progress reports from GC’s
    • Provide weekly project updates to Construction Directors 
  • Manage club (competitor’s and existing Crunch renovations) conversion:
    • Ensure construction scope is following Crunch design standards
    • Perform initial site inspection to confirm existing conditions
    • Establish scope of work to remove, replace or re-use:
      • Wall and floor finishes (replace or reuse)
      • HVAC/Electrical service/Water/Sewer Utilities
      • Lighting
      • Mirrors
      • Room placement/size
      • Locker room design/finishes/condition (refurbish or replace)
      • Entry/Reception desk lobby
      • Tanning & Hydromassage area- Convert to R&R
  • Coordinate conversion design with Architect to confirm the plans reflect the site conditions and incorporate all brand standards
  • Coordination of construction meetings with the franchise owner(s) and General Contractor
  • Maintain conversion/remodel project tracker
  • Manage national vendors
  • Project closeout
    • Schedule and review all project shop reports
    • Confirm conversion/remodels were built to compliance
    • Advise FO’s of any inconsistencies and corrective action
    • Follow-through until corrections are completed
Other projects work and support:

  • Support the Construction Development Directors with new franchise club paint and graphic plans
    • Send completed P&G plans to Magic8Box for 3D rendering generation
    • Review/comment/approve final design 
    • Send copy to GC for their reference during the club construction
  • Exterior Signage
    • Review all club exterior signage packages for compliance with design standards
    • Advise construction directors of any LL or City related restrictions that would prevent compliance with Crunch standards
  • Support the Construction and Operations team with reviewing club shops in view of construction completeness and compliance 
  • Support the implementation of entry gates in existing clubs, through site visits, design, renderings, and equipment orders
  • Support additional sub-projects on an as required basis (for example introduction of a new club design concept)
