YOUR IMPACT 
The Vice President (VP) of Operations will be pivotal in shaping Crunch Fitness's success by leading operational excellence across your region. You will work closely with franchises to drive gym performance, enhance member experience, and ensure alignment with Crunch’s strategic goals. This role offers significant opportunities to implement innovative strategies, develop high-performing teams, and establish strong franchise partnerships. The VP of Operations will play a key role in preparing the region for sustainable growth while supporting the broader goals for Crunch.
 
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leadership, Compliance, and Brand Alignment
  • Leadership and Team Development
    • Lead a high-performing Regional Franchise Business Partner (FBP) team to ensure operational and strategic excellence. 
    • Develop and retain talent, creating a pipeline for future leadership roles. 
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the region.
  • Brand Alignment and Enhancement
    • Ensure brand consistency across all regional gyms, maintaining Crunch’s values and mission. 
    • Enhance the Crunch reputation through operational excellence, positive member experiences, and strong community engagement.
  • Franchise Support and Collaboration
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with franchisees, fostering trust, communication, and alignment with Crunch’s vision. 
    • Lead quarterly business reviews and establish clear, measurable goals for franchisees. 
    • Act as a key advocate for franchisee success, identifying and addressing challenges proactively.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure gyms comply with Crunch’s brand standards, operational procedures, and corporate policies. 
    • Ensure gyms operate in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
Franchise Operational Excellence
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead regional operations to align with corporate strategy and exceed member expectations. 
    • Implement scalable, standardized processes across franchise locations to improve efficiency and quality. 
    • Provide strategic oversight of gym openings, ensuring strong presales and smooth launches.
  • Sales Performance
    • Collaborate with franchisees to drive membership growth, optimize personal training (PT) revenue, and deliver consistent group fitness (GF) excellence. 
    • Conduct regional sales analyses and implement strategies to support underperforming gyms. 
    • Partner with corporate teams to align regional sales initiatives with national goals.
  • Customer Experience and Satisfaction
    • Ensure Crunch delivers a consistent and engaging member experience across all gyms. 
    • Lead the implementation of new services, programs, and technologies to differentiate Crunch from competitors. 
    • Monitor member satisfaction metrics and address gaps.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Regional gyms meet or exceed key performance metrics, including membership growth, PT revenue, and 5-Star Ops (5SO) scorecard.
  • Franchisee relationships are strengthened through proactive communication, measurable improvements, and clear alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Innovative strategies and process improvements drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • High-performing teams are developed and retained, creating a lasting impact on Crunch’s leadership pipeline.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (MBA or advanced certification preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in franchise operations or multi-unit operational leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth and operational excellence in the fitness or related industry.
  • Strong strategic planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in building and sustaining franchisee partnerships, with a focus on profitability and alignment.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, from new gym openings to regional process improvements.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development abilities, with a focus on fostering accountability and innovation.
  • Willingness to travel regionally in the West (50%+ travel required).
  • Candidate must be based in West Coast.
